The Emergence of drive-in restaurants in Southern California started with the first drive-in A&W. For over a hundred years this chain has kept southern California’s thirst quenched with their delicious root beer and tasty food. From the beginning the restaurant adopted the emerging widespread ownership of the automobile in its infancy and adapted their concept to accommodate the drive-in culture that they helped create.
